Kudos from Absa: Two Awards, One Unforgettable Journey

Marking another anniversary at Absa Group is a good moment to stop and look back. I've had the privilege of being part of a dynamic team that supports every Windows Server at the bank — an environment where I learn something new every single day and get to work on some of the biggest projects in the organisation. It has been a journey filled with joy, excitement, and a fair amount of healthy pressure.

The 2022 Kudo's Grand Prize

I'm proud to have been selected as one of the recipients of the 2022 Kudo's grand prize. Absa generously rewarded my dedication and hard work by sending me on an all-expenses-paid trip to Mauritius.

The experience was ABSA-lutely breathtaking. Beyond the views, there was something special about being on the ground and actually using the very products my team supports for our colleagues in Mauritius. Seeing our work from the customer's side of the screen is a reminder of why the details matter.

This kind of recognition is a testament to the consistent, satisfactory service we aim to provide to our internal business clients every day.

Two years later, I received a Kudos recognition award in 2024. Being acknowledged a second time meant a lot — not because of the award itself, but because it confirmed that showing up, staying curious, and doing the work properly compounds over time.
